Joseph (Rasheed) Saleem Malouf (1893-1968) – The Melkite Archbishop of the Archeparchy of Baalbek is a comprehensive biography of Archbishop Malouf. It chronicles his life from birth in Lebanon; schooling at St. Anne’s Seminary in Jerusalem; missionary work in Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria; his ordination and ministry as the archbishop of the Baalbek diocese and as the apostolic administrator of Akka, Palestine; his tour of the Americas, including visiting his family in Boston; attendance at Vatican II; and his final years. Sources include the Vatican and seminary archives, the archives of the Baalbek diocese, family documents, and Adib Mousleh’s biography of Archbishop Malouf published in Arabic.

There are new introductions from Bishop Edward Georges Daher and Archbishop Cyril Bustros, the former archbishop of the eparchies of Baalbek and Newton, as well as an introduction from Archbishop Elias Zoghby, who followed Malouf as the archbishop of the diocese of Baalbek after his death.
